  • Little Dutchmen News Network (LDNN) - We are happy to announce the addition of our Little Dutchmen News Network.  A new broadcast will be available every Friday that school is in session.  Broadcasts can be seen by accessing LDNN under the "About Us" tab on our website.

  • Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!

    Dear parents and students:

    On behalf of the Annville Elementary faculty and staff I would like to welcome everyone back for the 2017-2018 school year.  A special welcome to our new students and their families!  I'm confident you will find our school to be a welcoming, supportive and collaborative educational environment for your child(ren). 

    Over the summer our building has undergone renovations in order to improve the HVAC system.  We look forward to an improved climate controlled learning environment for our students and staff.  Our custodial staff has done an excellent job of preparing the building for the return of our students and the teachers have been busy creating welcoming environments within their classrooms.

    Additionally, this summer administration and staff worked with an outside consultant to maximize available time within our schedule.  This work resulted in a departmentalized schedule in which each teacher in grades 4-6 will be focusing on specific subject areas.  As staff focuses on teaching specific subject areas, we are certain this will improve instruction of the content for your child.  Third grade students will remain primarily self-contained as we try and make their transition to a new grade level and a new building as relaxed as possible.

    We will work to enhance learning with our first full year of 1:1 laptops for all students and the addition of our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) special.  Student access to programs and information on their laptops and on-line will aide in the acquisition of new skills and content both at school and at home as our students will be able to take advantage of this resource in a full immersive environment.  STEAM will offer our students an opportunity to apply the content they learn during lessons to hands-on creative activities, using 21st century skills to problem solve and create.

    Annville Elementary will continue its partnership with IU13 as we move forward with being recognized by the state as an official positive behavior support school.  Doing so will open up free resources and allow us to showcase what’s working at Annville Elementary to other schools across the state.  Big Brothers Big Sisters will kick-off their partnership with us this school year and provide mentors to students who may be in need of some additional support in their lives.  

    We would like to welcome two new staff members to Annville Elementary, third grade teacher Mrs. Erika Ebersole and instrumental/band teacher Mr. Timothy Puglio.  As you make your way into the building this school year for various events, please introduce yourselves to these great additions to our staff.

    Safety is one of our primary objectives for your child.  As a reminder, ID is required for CAR RIDER pick-up during dismissal, as well as a note indicating the change of transportation for your child.  In the note, please identify the name of the individual who will be picking up your child.  These students will need to be met at the northeast exit of the building.  All visitors to the building this year will be required to place their id into our School Gate Guardian system in order to receive a visitor’s badge.  More information will follow soon regarding this change.

    Also, should you have any questions regarding attendance requirements, please do not hesitate to call our school office and speak to the attendance secretary. 

    In order for your child to receive the best possible educational experience we must all be pulling in the same direction.  We look forward to working with you in this capacity in order to make your child's time at Annville Elementary a strong foundation to build upon for the future!
