The Dutchmen Virtual Academy (DVA) is celebrating a landmark school year, marked by significant growth in its K-12 population and a steadfast commitment to personalized education. As the academic year draws to a close, DVA is proud to recognize that 54 seniors have been part of the DVA program, whether by taking one course or being a full-time DVA student. The 54 seniors account for almost half of the senior class, totaling 118 graduating students this spring.
The success of these graduates highlights DVA’s ability to provide a rigorous, flexible, and supportive environment that meets the unique needs of students and their families. With the launch of a brand-new website and expanded instructional offerings, DVA continues to lead the way in innovative K-12 education within the Annville-Cleona School District.
Personalized Learning Beyond the Classroom
DVA stands out by offering a tailored instructional experience that accommodates various lifestyles. Our K-12 options include hybrid on-site/online schedules or full-time virtual enrollment, with access to Zoom live teaching and specialized tutoring. This flexibility has allowed our students to pursue incredible opportunities alongside their academics. There are also weekly wellness checks to provide students with extra support and connection.
DVA’s scheduling supports competitive athletes, including gymnasts at both elementary and secondary levels, allowing them to participate in rigorous out-of-state training programs while staying current with their schooling. The program also works closely with CTC students, providing the flexibility they need to balance their academic requirements with their professional work schedules. DVA is also an excellent program for students with medical or psychological issues that make in-person attendance difficult.
Join the DVA Community
With a focus on working closely with families, DVA provides a customized education that doesn't force a choice between personal goals and academic achievement. Our brand-new website offers a clear look at our K-12 pathways and the support systems available to our growing student body.
“We believe in a ‘Blue Sky’ approach to education—where the schedule serves the student, not the other way around,” said Mr. Thomas Long, DVA Administrator. “Whether it's fulfilling science standards through a specialized camp or balancing a gym schedule with algebra, DVA is here to make it possible.”
