The Scott and Hoffnagle Scholarship Fund is offered to honor Steve Scott, the founding owner and President of Commonwealth Fire Protection and Paul W. Hoffnagle, a Fire Sprinkler contractor. All applicants must reside within a 50-mile radius of Leola, PA or a 25-mile radius of Wilmington, DE. The individual maintained a minimum grade point average of 2.5 in the most recent academic year in which the applicant attended high school or an accredited post-secondary school. Luthercare is offering 2-$5,000 and 5-$1,000 Scholarships for seniors seeking enrollment in a nursing program. Students must write a 750-word essay have two letters of recommendation and fill out the application listed on the A-C webpage under secondary school counseling and under the Scholarship tab or may be picked up in the guidance office or downloaded from th 2022-2023 Scholarship Table. The Carl "Gib" Gibble Memorial Scholarship is now available. This is a $500 scholarship to honor the memory of Lebanon County athlete Carl Gibble, who loved fast-pitch softball. The Lebanon Valley Chamber Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from any Lebanon County senior that currently attends one of Lebanon County’s public or private schools or the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center. The Foundation will award up to (6) scholarships with at least two $1,500 scholarships provided to individuals entering into a program involving a technical certificate/degree beyond high school and no less than two $1,500 Scholarships to seniors seeking a degree from a four-year college or university in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline. Buzgon Davis Law Offices College Scholarship is a $4,000 scholarship given over a 4-year period($1,000 each year given directly to the recipient). This is for seniors planning on attending college who are in the top 25% of their graduating class. One student from A-C would be selected to compete against a senior from each of the Lebanon County High Schools. The student must be a good citizen and of good moral character and have applied to and/or have been accepted by a 4-year accredited college, including HACC in a program leading to a Bachelor’s degree. The essay theme for this year’s application is: “Who in your life has been your biggest influence and why?” The deadline to return the completed application to the guidance office is March 6, 2023. Then the guidance counselors and Ms.Lingenfelter will select one A-C student to represent the school in competing against the other Lebanon County seniors for the scholarship. The Lebanon Federal Credit Union Future Leader Scholarship is available. The applicants must be graduating seniors, who must be members in good standing of the Lebanon Federal Credit Union and be enrolled in a full course of post-secondary study at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. The Pennsylvania Association of Educational Office Professionals Hermine Solt Scholarship is a $500 scholarship that was established in 1992 for the purpose of aiding students in Pennsylvania to pursue higher education in a business-related field. This scholarship will be given to an eligible senior applicant graduating from a Pennsylvania High School or Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School to be used as either tuition assistance or as a school bookstore credit at any approved two or four-year post-secondary institution, college, or university majoring in the business field. The Lebanon Valley YMCA Difference Maker Scholarship is a $250 scholarship offered to Lebanon County Seniors. On January 16, 2023, our YMCA will be honoring a current high school senior who has done something outstanding to make a difference in their community. If you are a Difference Maker, we want you to apply for this award which comes with a monetary prize of $250 to help offset any higher education expenses. Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences Scholarships are available to those who are accepted to Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences for majors ranging from Nursing to Surgical Technicians, to Diagnostic Medical Sonography to Medical Imaging. The 2023 PSECU Scholarship application is now open. There are six scholarships worth up to $8,000 each. Applicants must have their own PSECU account. Kelly Keenan’s Scholarship is in memory of Mrs. Kelly Keenan an Annville Elementary teacher who passed away in 2015. Mrs. Keenan “was a champion for all students, but she had a special spot in her heart for kids who may not have had every advantage.” Essay applications can be picked up in guidance and are due back in Guidance by March 13, 2023.
The Irene Wert Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 award for a senior student planning on attending a college or technical school. This is for an average student, with economic need, perhaps a student who wouldn’t otherwise be eligible for another scholarship. Students will need to state how they plan on serving others. The deadline to return the completed application to guidance is March 2, 2023.
The Moyer Longacre Scholarship is for seniors majoring in education. Five students each from the six Lebanon County High School based on academic attainment, need, personality and fine traits of character will be selected to receive a scholarship. Due to a generous benefactor, the 2018 award amount was $26,000. In the 2019 and 2020 school years, five A-C seniors received $5,000 each. In 2021 the amount increased to $6,000 for five A-C seniors. The deadline to apply is March 9, 2023. Please return applications to the Guidance Office.
The Kreamer Funeral Home/BELS(Gail Buchmoyer, Liz Eisenhauer, Andy Longenecker, Rick Schools) Memorial Scholarship is offered in memory of 4 - A-C seniors who were victims of a fatal automobile accident following graduation in 1976. Seniors graduating and planning on attending a 2 or 4-year college or tech.school beyond high school will be considered. The $750 scholarship is available to one male and one female A-C senior. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2022.
John and Clarissa Eisenhauer Scholarship given to one student from 6 High Schools. The scholarship selection is based upon academics, leadership, and financial need. The top 15% of the class is given the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. Two administrators and the two H.S. Counselors will review the applications. All information is confidential. The applicant who is selected will be notified so that he/she can complete the rest of the application process. The scholarship is renewable for four consecutive years by reapplying each year. Complete the application and return to the Guidance office by February 24, 2023.
Jeff and Derek Miller Scholarship awarded to a well- rounded student involved in academics and involved in school - one male and one female A-C student are selected. The last $ amount of this award was $1,000 for each student. Completed applications are due in the guidance office by March 3, 2023.
Ron Soulliard Award is given to one member of the senior class in the amount of $300. This is given in memory of Ron Soulliard, a 6th-grade teacher who died of melanoma. The recipient must be planning to major in education. The Deadline to return the completed application to the guidance office is March 3, 2022.
Andrew and Emily Ziegler Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one male and one female. The awards are given in memory of Andrew and Emily Ziegler , members of the A-C classes of 1999 and 2000 respectively, who were killed together in an automobile accident in 1997 on the first day of school. Last year’s award amount received was $750 per student recipient. The application deadline is March 2, 2023.
The Cyrus & Lucille Bowman Scholarship Award is presented to an outstanding male and female Senior. Each receives $4,000. This scholarship is renewable annually for 3 years upon documentation of continuing to meet the scholarship requirements: total award per student not to exceed $16,000. The awards will be made by the scholarship committee based on academic achievement in school and community activities, school and community citizenship, and consideration of financial need. The Deadline for the application is March 1, 2023, and must be returned to the guidance office.
Hershey Palmyra Sertoma Club “Make a Difference Award” for seniors pursuing post-secondary education. The Annville-Cleona Wrestling Booster’s Scholarship is a $1,000 award for a Senior Wrestler or Mat Maid with three-years of experience as a member of the Varsity Wrestling Team.
