In the event of a 2-hour delay, doors open at 10:15 and the school day starts at 10:50. Any student arriving after 10:50 a.m. is considered tardy, and the student will need to be dropped off at the school office.

We strongly encourage parents/guardians to walk their child(ren) to the walker door in the morning and not drop them off on the sidewalks or on the street.

When dropping child(ren) off, please stay on the sidewalks along the bus loop, and only use the designated crosswalk at the west side of the bus loop to cross the bus loop. Please check for traffic before crossing the bus loop. The approved walking routes are shown in blue.

No walkers should enter the school building via the main entrance as buses will be driving through the bus loop between 8:00-9:00 am to drop off students.

No cars are permitted in the bus loop between 8:00 - 9:00 am.

Staff members will be present to direct students to the correct location and the bus.

Dismissal

Parking is available on South Center Street, East Walnut Street in front of the bus loop, and South Garfield Street along the school athletic fields. No cars are permitted in the bus loop between 2:45 -3:45 pm.

All students and parents should use the approved walking routes shown in blue on the map to return to their vehicles or walk home. Do not walk along the bus loop in front of the school as it is congested with bus riders. Please check traffic before crossing the bus loop at the designated crosswalk.

Having photo ID is mandatory to pick up your child(ren). Photo ID cannot be a picture on your phone. Parents/guardians must wait outside the appropriate door to show ID to pick up student(s) and sign their child out. If someone comes to pick up your child that is not on the list and/or that person does not have id, he/she will be directed to the office so a phone call can be made to the parent/guardian for permission to take your child.
